Our Story

From Education to Coffee Cultivation

At Thuura Coffee Growers, we believe in the power of community, education, and sustainable agriculture. Our journey began with a mission to support youth education through the Imani Kenya Mission, and along the way, we have transformed lives by providing water, empowering women, and fostering economic growth.

In 2018, during a mission trip to Meru, we embarked on a journey that would change the lives of many in our community. Through the Imani Kenya Mission, we met students from various high schools who were eager to learn and grow. Inspired by their determination, we decided to take action to support their educational aspirations.

The Birth of Thuura Coffee

Our coffee project was born out of a desire to create sustainable funding for youth education and community development. By growing and processing our own coffee, we have created a self-sustaining model that not only supports the Imani Scholars but also empowers women and the entire community. Our coffee is more than just a beverage; it is a symbol of hope, resilience, and progress.

What We Do

Comprehensive Support and Development

• Coffee Production and Sales: We provide farmers with quality coffee seedlings, training, and market access to ensure they can produce and sell premium green coffee beans.
• Community Development: We invest in essential infrastructure projects, such as the Thuura Water Project, which brought clean, accessible water to our community.
• Education and Empowerment: Through the Imani Scholars Program, we sponsor students’ education and provide mentorship, ensuring they have the resources to succeed.
• Women’s Empowerment: Our initiatives provide training and employment opportunities for women, promoting economic independence and community involvement.
